Easter Sunrise Service Gooseberry Neck, Westport, Massachusetts

For the second year in a row, I traveled out to Gooseberry Neck to photograph the Easter sunrise and to enjoy the sunrise service that the Westport point United Methodist Church and the Westport United Congregational Church have at Gooseberry.

Last year, it was cloudy, the wind blowing, and there was no sunrise. 

This year, the skies were clear, there was no wind, and even though the temperature was in the 30s.  It was very comfortable.  As usual, it was a most excellent service presided over by the Reverends Katherine Mitchell and Sue Moenius with music by Mike Bartholomew.

The service completed and everybody was able to watch the sun come up over Buzzards Bay, giving meaning to Joy on Earth.
