Aftermaths of Hurricane Irene

I just returned from my three day trip to the beautiful state of Vermont.  However, what I am going to describe in this blog really isn't beautiful.  As I traveled through the central part of the state on route 4 and route 100, one of the things that struck me was the remnants of hurricane Irene from last year.  Covered bridges destroyed and still houses in a extreme state of disrepair.  There was a lot of construction on the road and a number of Bailey type bridges have been put up to replace bridges that were washed out during the hurricane.  You do not expect this type of hurricane destruction in Vermont!
