On the trip down to Chatham, there was not a lot of birds seen. However, at Chatham around where the whales were feeding, we identified three species of shearwaters, two species of Jaegers, a black tern, and the usual species of gulls, and terns.

|Great Black-backed Gull|
|Great Black-back Gull, probable second to third year plumage|
