Rodent Skull Found on the Beach

Rodent Skull
The other day when I was on the beach ramble, I found a skull on the beach.  The lower jaw was missing, and only have the upper jaw.  It is a rodent, possibly a young rabbit or a young squirrel.  It appears to be too large to be a vole.  I brought the skull home and soaked it in soap and water, so that I could clean of some of the debris that was present.

Utilizing my light table, my 105 macro lens and illuminated the top portion with a handheld LED light.  I took pictures of the top side and the teeth.

If anybody can identify the species, I would appreciate letting me know.
