New Comet Lovejoy, designated C/2014 Q2,

Yesterday as I was searching the Internet, I came across the information that there is a new Comet Lovejoy (this is Terry Lovejoy's fifth Comet discovery) that should be visible in the clear night sky during late December into January.  Looking at the upcoming weather forecast and the moon position, this Friday evening, December 19 will be the best time to try to view and photograph this comet.  I am planning to be at Allens Pond Stone Barn Property around 6:30 PM and hopefully photograph for the next couple of hours.  I will be bringing two cameras, one with a wide-angle lens and one with a medium telephoto lens.  Everybody is welcome to to come.  The new Moon occurs over the weekend, but the weather forecast is for cloudy or rainy conditions.  Bring a good pair of binoculars, sturdy tripod, camera and cable release, extra batteries, and dress appropriately.
