I spent this morning watching the birds coming onto my porch to eat the Zich-dough. Not only did the juncos come back, but a pair of cardinals and a white-breasted nuthatch Also visited the feeder. Of course, the nemesis squirrels also came and grabbed big hunks of the dough.
The more interesting bird that appeared was the possibility of an Oregon Junco. These usually are out West. Looking at my Stokes Birding Guide the bird appears to be an Oregon Junco. I am now waiting to hear from other people to confirm my findings.
