Butterfly Garden at Allens Pond

Bumblebees and Skippers
On Columbus Day, Allens Pond Massachusetts Audubon Sanctuary held a beach ramble, which I will discuss in another blog.  Prior to the ramble starting I was looking over the butterfly garden at the sanctuary and on the side closest to the entrance by the stone bench there was a large group of white daisy like flowers.  The bumblebees and different species of butterflies were on them.  Besides a number of skippers (which I have completely identified as yet), there was a a beat-up Common Buckeye, American Copper, Painted Lady and a Clouded Sulfur.  It was nice is sitting on the bench, watching all the butterflies in bees flitting around.  All these pictures were taken with my Nikon D800 with the Nikon 70-200 F2 .8 handheld.
