Macro Workshop at Gooseberry

During the last workshop at Gooseberry and Allens Pond, I saw a large number of subjects that are great for macro photography. Many different types of shells, rocks, seaweed, and other interesting subjects in the tidepools. Also the shapes and colors of the foliage and old dead flowers were very interesting. Therefore, I am offering a Macro Workshop on February 9 starting at 8 AM at Gooseberry. This workshop is through the auspices of South Coast Sanctuary's-All
ens Pond, the cost is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers of Massachusetts Audubon. The fee includes instruction, a post processing program at the end, and lunch You can make reservations at http://www.massaudubon.org/get-outdoors/program-catalog#program:sanctuary=25:program_code=32386.


Instruction will include settings, use of fill flash, reflectors and other tools to help you make your macro photography better. Equipment a camera and lens capable of macro photography, a flash if available, a remote either wired or wireless if available, spare batteries, enough cards for the camera and a tripod. Dress appropriately for the weather and have waterproof boots. This program was scheduled to take advantage of an outgoing tide. We will meet in the parking lot of Gooseberry.


Directions -Gooseberry Island, Westport, MA East Beach Road, Westport MA 02790 Take Rt 195 East, Exit 10 South-Rt 88 is just past Fall River. Follow Rt 88 for about 12 miles to the end of the road. You will pass Horseneck Beach. Turn right and follow road across the causeway to Gooseberry Island.


 The program will be canceled in case of heavy rain or heavy snow.
