To celebrate the Spring Equinox I have scheduled a workshop through Allens Pond Massachusetts Audubon Sanctuary on Saturday, March 22 starting at 6:15 AM daylight savings time. Sunrise is at 6:47 AM. We will meet at the parking lot on Gooseberry Neck in Westport Massachusetts. After sunrise we will photograph the new life starting on Gooseberry including landscapes, close-ups and wildlife.
We will then travel down to the sanctuary where we will explore the beach loop and portions of the Quansett trail.
We will have lunch at the Stone Barn, an unusual, and perhaps unique, stone structure for Massachusetts, which has been converted into a beautiful meeting area for the sanctuary. After lunch, we will look at some of our photos from the morning and discuss some post-processing techniques utilizing Lightroom.
In the afternoon we will travel next to the Allens Neck portion of the sanctuary where we are will travel through a red maple swamp rich wetlands, across old pasture land and among giant boulders or pass vernal pools throbbing with fairy shrimp, egg masses and wood frogs
