Total Eclipse of the Moon, October 8, 2014

Partial Eclipse of April's Total Eclipse (clouds came in and blocked the rest of the eclipse
Weather permitting, allowing us to be able to see it, there will be a total eclipse of the full moon on October 8, 2014.  This moon is called the Hunter's Moon and also will be a Blood Moon.  To learn more about what is a Blood Moon I recommend this site: http://earthsky.org/space/what-is-a-blood-moon-lunar-eclipses-2014-2015

I am planning a workshop to to photograph this event at the parking lot on Gooseberry Neck, Westport, Massachusetts, starting at 4:45 AM.  The cost of the workshop will be $25 payable by PayPal to mborn@photobee1.com.  I will have prepared handouts showing settings that you will need in order to capture the event.  Also since the Moon will set just after the sunrise occurs we can also photograph  the sunrise.  Equipment needed includes a steady tripod, camera, a medium to long zoom lens or a 300 mm-500 mm lens, a shutter release and a flashlight or headlamp plus appropriate clothing. Also you can utilize a wide-angle lens  to take multiple exposures then stack the photos in Photoshop.  In case of rain, the fee will be returned.

Eclipse time  Notice from TPE below we will not see the greatest eclipse
